Autonomous Car

GM has released a car for testing that is sure to be the hottest car.  It is fully autonomous, and it has no steering wheel and no pedals.  It is obvious what applications this has.  Surely it will cut down on the amount of accidents people have while texting.  It will help people with handicaps and the elderly be able to commute.  One would think that it would help to control speeding as well.

One wonders how the auto insurance will work for these.  Will the rates be higher or lower for an autonomous car that is currently priced the same as a normal car?  Insurance companies are going to have a tough time initially trying to rate the various risks that autonomous cars present.  What do you do when a car is being driven that can be hacked by a teen?  Will people be able to upload viruses by accident into the cars from their own mobile devices?  How do the cars react when a high speed incident takes place in front of them?  Cars slamming into each other that require split second responses?  Insurance companies will have their hands full.

All of it is crazy if you ask me.  I have been asking around the office.  Many of us would be scared to death to ride in one of these.  It is basically about control.  Seems like something out of a scifi movie where the government can direct your every move.

GM ha lanzado un coche para la prueba de que está seguro de ser el coche más caliente. Es totalmente autónomo, y no tiene volante y los pedales. Es obvio lo que esto tiene aplicaciones. Seguramente va a reducir la cantidad de personas que tienen accidentes, mientras que los mensajes de texto. Esto ayudará a las personas con discapacidades y las personas de edad sea capaz de conmutar. Uno pensaría que ayudaría a controlar exceso de velocidad también.

Uno se pregunta cómo el seguro de auto va a trabajar para ellos. Las tasas serán más alto o más bajo para un coche autónomo que tiene un precio actualmente lo mismo que un coche normal? Las compañías de seguros van a tener un tiempo difícil inicialmente tratando de evaluar los diferentes riesgos que los coches autónomos presentes. ¿Qué se hace cuando un coche está siendo conducido por un adolescente que puede ser cortado? ¿La gente será capaz de cargar los virus por accidente en los coches de sus propios dispositivos móviles? ¿Cómo reaccionan los coches cuando un incidente de alta velocidad tiene lugar delante de ellos? Coches chocando contra unos de otros que requieren segunda respuesta dividida? Las compañías de seguros tendrán sus manos llenas.

Todo esto es una locura si me preguntas. 1 han estado preguntando por la oficina. Muchos de nosotros estaría muerta de miedo a montar en uno de ellos. Se trata básicamente sobre el control. Parece algo salido de una película de ciencia ficción, donde el gobierno puede dirigir su cada movimiento.
